In April, the Alabama Trustee Implementation Group held its annual public meeting and presented its Draft Restoration Plan II and Environmental Assessment. Members of the public attended the meeting to learn about the plan and give feedback. At the meeting, we described the natural resource damage assessment and restoration process and gave an overview of the plan. We discussed development of the plan, explained the project screening process, and provided information on the 22 projects proposed for funding. We also updated the public on the status of projects from early restoration and our first restoration plan and environmental impact statement released last year.
