The Trustees held their second annual public meeting November 30, 2017 at the Renaissance Riverview in Mobile, Alabama. We provided an update on our work since the historic settlement with BP, and described restoration planning activities and opportunities for public engagement.
Representatives of the seven Trustee Implementation Groups, responsible for planning and implementing restoration projects for the natural resources injured by the Deepwater Horizon oil spill, gave updates on their progress over the last year (see presentation below).
The public meeting also included an opportunity for the public to provide comments to the Trustees after the presentation. This meeting served as the annual public meeting for the Trustee Council and the Region-wide TIG.
You can view all the materials presented at the meeting - including the presentations, and the restoration area fact sheets - below. A transcript of the meeting containing both the verbal presentations and public comments will be available here shortly.
We have additional information on our website about the Trustees’ work over the past year, including planning and implementing restoration projects, and coordinating with the public, and information from last year’s meeting in New Orleans.
