The Louisiana Trustee Implementation Group held a virtual public meeting to present the proposed projects from their Draft Phase 2 Restoration Plan/Environmental Assessment #8.1: Restore East Orleans Landbridge Restoration Project and Racoon Island Restoration Project via webinar on June 8, 2026.
Trustee representatives provided information on two restoration projects proposed for construction. The Plan also considers several non-preferred design alternatives for each project in addition to No Action Alternatives. The presentation was followed by an opportunity for attendees to submit comments.

Public Comment
The public comment period opened on May 18 and closed on June 17, 2026. The Louisiana Trustee Implementation Group will review all public input received through the public meeting, by mail, and electronically through the comment portal. The will consider and address all comments before releasing a Final Restoration Plan. When approved, the Final Restoration Plan will be posted to the Louisiana Trustee Implementation Group website.
